Research

Research interests include modification of healthcare provider behaviors related to patient health promotion, smoking cessation research, including smoking ordinance modification, infection control measures for manual therapists, and nutrition and health behaviors in sports. 

Biography

Dr. Will Evans has over 30 years of combined experience in healthcare and academic leadership in the health sciences. He is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist. He holds numerous fellowships in the health sciences. These include the Kansas Public Health Leadership Institute, the Southeastern Conference Academic Leadership Development Program, and the Food Systems Leadership Institute. His research on complementary and integrative healthcare has been cited by the National Center for Health Statistics.

Biography

Dr. Doss received a BSN from Troy University (2001), an MSN with a focus in maternal-infant nursing education from Troy University (2002), and a research doctorate (PhD) from Georgia State University (2017).  Dr. Doss has worked in maternal and infant health as a clinician and educator for over 20 years and is a trained forensic nurse.  She maintains certification in inpatient obstetrics (RNC-OB, 2003), as an Advanced Forensics Nurse (AFN-C, 2022), and as an Adult/Adolescent Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE-A, 2020). She has presented regionally, nationally, and internationally on women’s health, forensic nursing, and nursing education/research.
